Kindle Freebie, Vampire Vic

Vampire Vic by Harris GrayFree VV, Free VV! That’s the cry on the street, the virtual street, the two-lane info highway connecting the cortex of Harris Gray. We know Tibet and Mumia have dibs, but we just can’t wait any longer. In Vampire Vic, “free VV” would refer to releasing Vic’s inner vampire. But right now we’re talking money, Vampire Vic free for Kindle, today (April 30) through Thursday (May 2). And then $0.99 through Sunday May 12. Woe to you who have already paid bigger, better money for VV, your timing was terrible, but we love you for it.

Review VV, Review VV! That is Harris Gray you hear, crying for reviews of Vampire Vic on Amazon. It would mean the world to Harris Gray. We couldn’t love you any more than we already do, just more intensely.

Java Man, Vampire Vic

Writing Vampire Vic and the upcoming Java Man, Harris Gray had a big leg up on all the other writing duos out there (both of them). Harris Gray had their very own coffee shop, Crowfoot Valley Coffee in Castle Rock. (And this was before the Crowbar was born! Their advantage is now insurmountable.) In the latest batch of e-mails to bubble to the surface of the cold, unfathomably deep data pool in the labyrinthine recesses of the e-cave (just a mouseclick away), we watch the chemistry between Jason and Allan as they follow their own special formula for collaboration in the classic writer’s laboratory, the coffee shop.

For safety’s sake, make sure you tell someone where you’re going, strap on your fanny pack, and join us in the e-cave.

Vampire Slayer Eugene

Eugene Vampire Hunter

Eugene the Vampire Slayer here, digging into the mailbag while my garlic mud mask dries. I get lots of compliments on the garlic exuding from my pores, but that’s like a leaky radiator, this should plug those holes.

Meanwhile Gus from Detroit, Michigan has quite a quandary.

Mr. Slayer,

You have quite the reputation, I really think I have a job / problem right up your alley. As you know, the outskirts of Detroit are over-run with the un dead. Vampires seem to be everywhere. They are unchecked and killing with reckless abandon. With all the foreclosures & abandoned homes, they have free reign. I have lost countless friends & several family members. Can you help? I need a Slayer out here immediately. Please help.

Your faithful servant,

Gus

Gus,

I feel your pain. With all the foreclosures & abandoned homes our country is a mess. It takes a monstrous effort from all of us to make it better. Good thing is that with the interest rates so low & Fannie Mae willing to work with you, buying & flipping those homes is a great option. I happen to co-own a consulting firm that can help walk you through the process. 1.800.overran. Or slayerinvestments.com. It really is easy, & super practical. With the market the way it is, this country is ripe for these kind of solutions. It’s up to us to get the country back on its financial feet.

Good luck,

Eugene > The Vampire Slayer <

Don’t fall prey, email me on your predator problems, I’ve got the right stake for the job.

DJ Emn8, DJ Farallon

Team VVThe Vampire Vic party room has closed, but the party isn’t over. For one thing we will be contacting the winners of the book launch giveaway, very soon. For another, the original song Drinkin’ Blood Ain’t Easy by the DJs Farallon and Emn8 is still playing in our heads, and so we want that tune in your noggin too, as you picture Vic looking like Johnny Cash on top of the world and behind the wheel of his ’59 Eldorado, top down and cruising the Pacific Coast Highway. That’s what this tune is all about, Victor Thetherson feeling his oats as the vampirism transforms him. Vic lives in Houston, so you’ll have to pretend the smoke belching from the refineries is fog cloaking the California cliffs, which should be easy if you are actually able to pretend Victor in black cords and maroon windbreaker bobbing his head to Bananarama behind the wheel of his Subaru wagon is Johnny Cash.

Check out the Harris Gray video too, just not while the music is playing – the two go together nicely, but not directly.

Vampire Slayer Eugene

Eugene Vampire HunterEugene here. Cooling off from my slayer workout and training with he-who-will-not-be-named-until-I-learn-his-name. I see Harris Gray hasn’t packed it in, or upgraded their web security. They have lawyered up; yesterday I received a cease-and-desist letter from LegalZoom-dot-com. I guess this is the part where we stick our hands in each other’s pockets. They should know better than to raise the stakes against a vampire slayer, if you get my meaning.

Your e-mails have been flooding in, a sure sign that the vamp problem is only getting worse. And that you haven’t been reading Dear Abby. This next question is from a lady in Bismarck, ND.

Dear Eugene,

I really hope you rid the world of the vermin that have become an extreme nuisance on this planet. I have been following you for quite some time & find your tactics and your advice very helpful.
The issue I have is with my fiancé Walt. We have been together for 7 years now. The last three we have been engaged. We have no real plan on when we are to be married. When he first proposed, he had all these grandiose plans on where, when & how we would be married. But it has been three long engaged years. Walt keeps telling me it’s not time yet, that he wants our finances & our circumstances to be just right. Also, he never takes me out, his idea of a romantic evening is ordering in Dominoes pizza and playing HALO on-line. Never tells me he loves me. He stays out all night with his buddies. What should I do? I am at wits end!! I love him so much, but I feel like we are in a permanent holding pattern.

Your servant and admirer,

Jean

Jean,

Walt is playing you like a 3 dollar fiddle. He knows he can keep you around. Dangle the idea of getting married and keep you around even longer. Confront him, talk to him in very plain terms. “Walt, you know I love you & I know you love me, but we need to make a plan, a date to get married. If we wait for the perfect time, we will never be married.” I am sure that when Walt understands that you are not waiting for the perfect time, moment or finances; That you love him & want to be married; He will come to his senses and make a date, soon. As for the Dominos and the HALO. You are way off base, way off. Did you also mention that he stays out all night? He’s probably a vamp. Since you love him, a stake through the heart is the most painless death. But truly. Kill him, kill him now.

Yours,

Eugene > The Vampire Slayer <

p.s. You mentioned you have been following me for quite some time. Stop.

Got a problem with a vamp? Or your love life, finances, politicians, the undead, etc.? Email me, those that provide teaching moments will be answered here, whether the vamps’ stooges Harris Gray like it or not.
